MEXAcube: Redefining Portable Emissions Measurement

HORIBA’s MEXAcube, featuring QCL-IR (Quantum Cascade Laser Infrared Spectroscopy) Portable Emissions Measurement System. Designed for on-board measurement in light-, heavy-duty, and non-road mobile machinery, it meets the growing demand for on-road RDE (Real Driving Emissions) compliance under the Euro 7 legislation proposal.

With our extensive PEMS expertise, we’ve developed a compact, user-friendly, and robust system capable of precisely measuring eight key emission components (CO, CO₂, NO, NO₂, NH₃, N₂O, HCHO, and CH₄) simultaneously. The system integrates HORIBA's proprietary Infrared Laser Absorption Modulation (IRLAM™) technology and includes a FID for total hydrocarbon measurement, ensuring unmatched accuracy in real-world conditions.

The OBS-ONE series, originally launched in 2014, offers an advanced PEMS for on-board measurement that complies with the latest/pending regulations of EU and US rulemaking bodies.

It is ideally suited for RDE measurement, heavy-duty in-use programs, and real-world development. System modules characterize criteria emissions, greenhouse gases, particle number (OBS-ONE PN), and particle mass (OBS-ONE PM) via a state-of the-art interface known as HORIBA ONE.
